Billboard Bride Scavenger Hunt #4
The first scene I wrote in Billboard Bride was in chapter one when Melanie’s dad goes to the farm looking for her and stumbles on Kyle trying to coax Gertie into walking up a piece of plywood into the truck bed. I have no idea where that thought came from, but I knew at that moment this would be a funny, lighthearted book.
Gertie is my favorite character, so much that she even made the back cover. She kind of took on a life of her own and stole the show. Even after growing up with cattle all around and raising a calf from the bottle, I didn’t know this little fact. Don’t forget to submit to the OFFICIAL FORM!
In other news, some of you may have received a Google Docs file from me via email today that I did not send. That was a phishing scheme that apparently spread across the nation. It affected me because it mimicked Google Docs and I received a message from someone I trusted and normally share documents with via Google. Sorry if that happened to you! If you were affected, you can fix this in your Google account settings by removing the app called Google Docs.
